International Weimar Summer Courses

From 2002 to 2012, I gave courses on “Art and Sustainability” (2004-2009 in collaboration with artist Shelley Sacks) as part of an annual series of international summer courses, held in Weimar. Here, within "classical" heritage surroundings, participants from more than 30 countries have sought out the cultural contours of a sustainable world since 2000. Many of the creative strategies practised in these courses have been developed by Shelley Sacks at the Social Sculpture Research Unit of Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
